This year, Martinova GO!rica will once again bring together St. Martin’s Day traditions, local wines and culinary delights in the heart of Nova Gorica. Visitors will have the opportunity to discover wines from local winemakers and products from other regional producers, while celebrating St. Martin’s Day with excellent wine, delicious food and good company.
St. Martin’s Day 2026 | Klet Vipava 1894
On Friday, 6 November 2026, the traditional celebration of St. Martin’s Day will once again take place in front of Klet Vipava 1894. The event kicks off at 8:00 PM with a performance by Vipavski kvintet, followed by live music from Miran Rudan InDesign. DJ Domači will round off the evening.

St. Martin’s Day at the Castles
St. Martin’s Day at the Castles
On 7 November, St. Martin’s Day at the Castles will bring together selected venues across the Vipava Valley to celebrate wine, gastronomy and cultural heritage, with the festivities extending to the Karst region. Lanthieri Mansion, Vipavski Križ and Rihemberk Castle will offer visitors a variety of St. Martin’s Day experiences, showcasing local winemakers and other local producers. The celebration will be an opportunity to discover the Vipava Valley through its flavours, traditions and historic settings.
Meet a Young Winemaker – Vina Krapež
This wine tasting, part of the “Meet a Young Winemaker” series, is organised as part of the LAS Vinske harmonije project. Young winemaker Vid Krapež will introduce his winery, present a selection of wines and share the work and passion behind them. The event will take place in an intimate setting, offering plenty of opportunity for conversation and questions.
Open Cellar Days and St. Martin’s Day Celebration ’26
On Friday and Saturday afternoon, seven winemakers will open the doors of their wine cellars to visitors. Participants can purchase a tasting glass and travel between the cellars by minibus, sampling wines along the way. They will also receive a voucher for a traditional local platter, which can be redeemed at the information point.
Friday evening will conclude with a free concert by Ansambel Ikebana. On Saturday, the sports ground in Brje will host the grand St. Martin’s Day concert featuring Vipavski kvintet, Natalija Verboten and the band Ana Pupedan. A separate ticket is required for the Saturday concert.

St. Martin’s Day Wine-Tasting Hike
A leisurely hike covering approximately 6 km and lasting around 4 hours. Along the route, participants will enjoy wine tastings at the cellars of participating winemakers.
St. Martin’s Day Celebration in Podraga
On Saturday, 21 November 2026, an evening celebrating Podraga’s wines will take place at the Podraga Cultural Centre. The event begins at 6:00 PM with a wine tasting featuring local winemakers, followed by an evening of entertainment with the band Špadni fantje from 9:00 PM onwards.
St. Martin’s Hike Through the Vineyards of Lože
Join a hike through the vineyards of Lože, featuring wine tastings from local winemakers and live entertainment by a music group.

Open Cellars in Slap
For the 26th year, seven winemakers from Slap will open their wine cellars to visitors. At each winery, visitors will have the opportunity to sample up to five wines and enjoy homemade local delicacies. The event is designed as a self-guided walk between the participating cellars.
